The tiny town was absolutely jam-packed with people. Over a hundred booths dotted the park grounds, selling their wares.

Plus, there were a couple dozen food vendors, selling all that mouth-watering, yummy stuff. One vendor told us this was his favorite festival of the year ~ the most fun and most successful. Look it up next year if you are in the area the last weekend of August.
 Are these healthy?

We were told twice as many people asked for booth space; there simply was no more room. This particular festival seems to be a very popular one. There were also dozens of garage sales all over town.

The antique car show was the biggest ever, they said.

One in the sun and one in the shade made them challenging to photograph.

For the first time at this festival, there were carnival rides. The Hammer was the most popular ~ lots of screams.

The playground was busy all day and there were lots of booths to entertain the little people, with face-painting, goldfish races, you name it.

Music groups performed on the stage throughout the day. This quartet is called The Tonsil Clackers ~ hilarious group.

I stood in the parking lot and watched a lot of the antique cars and trucks as they exited the grounds.

Many of the drivers waved to me as they rounded the corner; I think they like their beloved vehicles being photographed.

There was a chicken noodle lunch uptown and a fish fry that evening; the restaurants did a booming business. The day ended with fireworks ~ sending summer out with a bang. What a great day! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “ . . . the summer is ended . . .” Jeremiah 8:20 TGBTG
