LATELY

AROUND HERE

Sammy Squirrel has been showing off quite a bit.

I had never seen him perched on the peak of the roof before.

Maybe he thought he was hidden?

when we had guests for breakfast before church services.

We attended a little farewell party for these sweet children
who are moving to a new home in another state.

This couple’s wedding was in the far west, so a reception was held here also.

I adored her very unique, vintage-style wedding dress.
It was made especially for her.

Summer has been really busy so far ~ and we are loving every minute of it!

Nice pictures. We've had 2 weddings and 1 graduation so far. Company coming soon, including Texas daughter and grand-daughter. Have you had rain down there? We haven't yet.

Sammy is quite the cute, fat squirrel. Your morning table looks so lovely! A nice time of year with graduations and weddings. It reminds me to get working on some things for later this week. I have to find frames for pictures of David!

Yes, I'm pretty devastated by some of the grandchildren moving but I must keep putting one foot in front of the other, right?

We have gray squirrels, red squirrels and chipmunks galore around here -- my husband just trapped his 21st chipmunk and moved him/her to another location down the road in the woods! They like to dig holes and burrow in my flower beds and that doesn't make he happy!!

Your table setting is so pretty and the graduates are lovely too!!

@mcbery - Yes, that's true. One thing about family living away ~ when you visit, you have all day, every day with them while you are there ~ and the same is true when they come visit you ~ there are blessings either way. Bless you ~

@myhopeisinjesus - Does moving the animals down the road help? Or do they just return to where they know it is nice to be ~ at your house?

We have some kind of little striped gophers besides chipmunks ~ they both are kind of a nuisance ~

@fwren - Well, it's actually to another road but I told my husband he really ought to "band" them and then we'd know if they were the same ones finding there way back to our yard!!

Your squirrels look larger than the ones running around our yard.....ours have scruffy tails. Still after #3 squirrel. He is one smart critter.

It's always so nice to come and visit your blog. Your pictures are always fun to look at. The kids have started seeing brown squirrels around here w/ white tales. They took a pic. I'll have to see if I can get it up here. Loved the flip-flop party post! A great idea. We have a few girls here who love flip-flop season. One even tries to get away w/wearing hers into the winter, making for some cold toes, lol.~
